Brazil defeated Italy by 3-2 in the Women’s Volleyball League of Nations

Last year’s Women’s Volleyball League of Nations runners-up Brazil recorded dramatic success in the competition after beating Italy by 3-2 (26-28, 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 15-10) in a group match 6, played in Bangkok (Thailand).

Thus, Selecao took revenge for the lost final from Squadra Azzura, which lost by 0-3.

Brazil occupies the third position in the standings with 20 points (7 wins, 2 losses), the Italian national team is eighth with 13 points (5 wins, 4 losses).

Gabi Guimaraes was the top scorer for Brazil 25 points (1 block), Rosamaria Montibeller scored 20 points (1 ace, 2 blocks). Ana Carolina da Silva added 14 points (1 ace, 2 blocks).

For Italy, Francesca Villani and Sylvia Nwakalor each finished with 21 points (2 blocks) (1 block). Loveth Omoruyi scored 14 points (1 ace, 2 blocks).
