Bernarda Pera won the title of the WTA 250 Hamburg European Open

Bernarda Pera won the title of the WTA 250 Hamburg European Open after a straight-set victory versus top-seeded Anett Kontaveit. The American tennis player won the match with 2-0 (6:2, 6:4) for only 75 minutes.

The first set started with an early break on 15 for Bernarda Pera. She won her next serve game after deuce, but finally proved the break. Both players exchanged two serve game wins, when in the 7th game Bernarda Pera registered another break and served for the set, which she won from the first set point.

The second set started equally. Both players won their first serve games easily. In the 4th game, however, Anett Kontaveit had a break point, which she lost and finally, Bernarda Pera won her serve. And this reflected the next game immediately when the Estonian served. She gave two break points to her opponent, who lost the first, but secured the second and took advantage. Bernarda Pera won her serve game and succeeded to register another one. And when she served for the game, Anett Kontaveit made a break and returned to the match. However, Bernarda Pera won her next severe game and the set with 6:4.

Thus, Bernarda Pera won her second consecutive WTA title after last week she won the trophy at the WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix.
