Belarusian athlete Krystsina Tsimanouskaya

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya is a Belarusian sprinter, who has won numerous medals at various events, including a silver medal in the 100m at the 2017 European U23 Championships, a gold medal in the 200m at the 2019 Summer Universiade, and a silver medal in the team event at the 2019 European Games. She is a 12-time national champion and competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was born on November 19, 1996, in Klimavichy, Mogilev Region, Belarus. She started in athletics at an early age, but started competitive athletics late, receiving an offer from an Olympic trainer to join his academy when she was about 15 years old.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya started competing in 2013. She won the gold at the Brest Belarus U18 Indoor Championships in 60 and at the Donetsk Ukrainian U18 Club Championships in 100m.

In 2014, she won her first senior honor, winning the silver medals at the Grodno Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m and the bronze at the Mogilyov Belarus Indoor Championships in 60m. During the season she won the silver medal at the Minsk Olympic Champions Prizes in 100m and competed at the European Athletics Team Championships First League in 4x100m relay.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya started the indoor 2015 season strongly, winning the gold at the Minsk “Winter” Indoor Meeting, Mogilyov Belarus Junior Indoor Championships, and Mogilyov BLR-UKR Junior Indoor Match in 60m, as well as the gold at the Mogilyov Belarus Junior Indoor Championships and the silver at the Mogilyov Belarus Indoor Championships in 200m. During the outdoor season, she competed at the Eskilstuna European Junior Championships, finishing 6th in 100m. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya won the silver medals at the Grodno Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m. She competed at the Cheboksary European Team Championships and Eskilstuna European Junior Championships in the 4x100m relay.

In 2016, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya won the bronze at the Mogilyov Belarus Indoor Championships in 60m. During the outdoor season, she won the gold at the Grodno Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m but also smashed the competition at the Sopot Sopot Janusz Sidło Memorial and Joensuu Games in 100m.

In 2017, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya made a strong indoor season, winning the gold at the Mogilyov Belarus Indoor Championships in 60m and 200m. She competed at the Beograd European Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, she won the silver at the Bydgoszcz European U23 Championships in 100m and finished 4th in 200m. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya also competed at the European Team Championships in 100m and 200m. She won the gold at the Grodno Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m but also earned silver at the prestigious Turku Paavo Nurmi Games in 100m.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya continue to be one of the most perspective athletes in 2018, winning the national titles in 100m and 200m outdoor and 100m indoor. She competed at the Birmingham IAAF World Indoor Championships and Berlin European Athletics Championships but again remained without honor.

In 2019, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya won the silver at the European Games in Minks in 100m and at the European Athletics Team Championships First League in 200m. She competed also at the Doha IAAF World Championships in Athletics and the Universiade in Napoli, winning the gold in 200m. Meanwhile, during the season she won again the national titles at the 60m and 200m indoor and 100m and 200m outdoor. She triumphed with the gold at the Meeting de l’Eure and the silver at the Orlen Cup in Lodz in 60m, as well as the gold at the Riga Cup in Ogre and the bronze at the Filothei Women Gala in 100m.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya won the gold at the Belarus Indoor Championships in 60m and 200m, as well as the Minsk Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m. She also triumphed with silver at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor in 60m.

In 2021, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya won again the gold at the Belarus Indoor Championships in 60m, as well as the Belarus Championships in 100m and 200m. She competed at the European Athletics Team Championships First League and Torun European Athletics Indoor Championships. Krystsina Tsimanouskayawas is part of the Belarusian Olympics team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She competed in 100m but remained out of the final. Belarus Olympic Committee officials withdrew her from the competition after a video made by the athlete criticizing them. Belarusian authorities tried to forcibly return her to Belarus, but she said that was afraid of returning to Belarus and she intended to claim asylum. She was granted a humanitarian visa to Poland, where is competing and living now.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya missed the indoor 2022 season and started competing only in May. She competed at the 68° ORLEN Janusz Kusocinski Memorial in Chorzow and the 4th Irena Szewinska Memorial in Bydgoszcz.

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya started the 2023 indoor season winning the gold at the 3. Ogolnopolskie Halowe Zawody LA Torun in 60m. She competed at the ORLEN Cup Lodz, ORLEN Copernicus Cup in Torun, and Polish Indoor Championships, but missed winning a medal. During the outdoor season, she won the bronze at the 69° ORLEN Janusz Kusocinski Memorial inChorzow and the silver at the 5th Irena Szewinska Memorial in Bydgoszcz in 100m.
