Beatrice Chebet (Kenya) won her second Olympic title in Paris. After first winning the 5,000m, today the Kenyan athlete battled for first place in the 10,000m as well, crossing the finish line first in 30:43.25 min.
Nadia Battocletti (Italy) brought a silver medal to Europe and Italy with a new national record of 30:43.35 min. In the 5,000m in Paris, she finished fourth, but this time she managed to reach the podium.
Tokyo Olympic 5,000m and 10,000m champion Sifan Hassan (Netherlands) claimed her second bronze medal in the French capital after finishing third in 30:44.12 min. She will start in another event in Paris – the women’s marathon on Sunday morning.
The Top 5 was completed by two more Kenyan athlete Margaret Kipkemboi and Lilian Kasait Rengeruk, who clocked at 30:44.58 min and 30:45.04 min, respectively.
