Beatrice Chebet and Mary Moraa confirmed participation at the Zurich Diamond League

Olympic 5,000m champion Beatrice Chebet and the Diamond Trophy winner and 800m world title holder Mary Moraa have confirmed participation at the Zurich Diamond League on September 5.

Beatrice Chebet, who also won gold in the 10,000m at the Paris 2024 Olympics, will return to the city where she won the 5,000m Diamond League trophy in 2022 to book her ticket to this year’s final in Brussels.

In Zurich, she will face Freweyni Hailu (Ethiopia) and Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal (Norway), who also need points to secure a place in the Diamond League final.

In the women’s 800m race, Mary Moraa will take to the track against Paris Olympic silver medalist Tsige Duguma (Ethiopia).
