Barcelona Femeni and Real Madrid Femenino recorded convincing victories in Round 8 of the Spain Liga F.

Aitana Bonmati scored twice for the 6-0 visitors’ win of Barcelona Femeni against Villarreal Femenino. The new Ballon d’Or holder opened the result in the match already in the 14th minute, while Asisat Oshoala extended the lead to her team in 24th minute to form the 2-0 score in the first half. Another goal of Aitana Bonmati in the 50th minute gave a comfortable lead for Barcelona Femeni, after which the coach Jonatan Giraldez substituted some of the key players to save their power for the UEFA Women’s Champions League game on Tuesday versus Benfica. By the end of the match, another three goals by Salma Paralluelo (77′), Caroline Hansen (82′), and Asisat Oshoala (85′) formed the final score of 6-0.

Real Madrid Femenino smashed Real Sociedad Femenino by 7-1 at their Alfredo di Stefano Stadium. Two goals of Athenea del Castillo (17′ and 36′) in the first half and one of Signe Bruun (26′) gave a comfortable lead for their team, but just before the break Nerea Eizaguirre Lasa (45+2′) returned one of the goals. In the second half, however, Hayley Raso (54′), Rocio Galvez Luna (65′), Maite Oroz (77′), and Naomie Feller (85′) added 4 more goals for the final 7-1 score.

In other matches from the Spain Liga F, Atletico Madrid Femenino defeated Eibar Women by 3-0, Sporting de Huelva lost at home to Real Betis Balompie Femenino by 1-3. Sevilla FC Femenino recorded a minimum win of 1-0 versus Granada CF Femenino and Levante Las Planas Women defeated UD Granadilla Tenerife by 3-1. Levante UD Femenino smashed at home Valencia CF Femenino by 3-1, while Athletic Club Femenino lost at home to Madrid CFF by 1-2.

The leader in Spain Liga F is Barcelona Femeni with 4 points, followed by Real Madrid Femenino with 21 points and Madrid CFF with 18 points. On the bottom of the standings are Eibar Women, Granada CF Femenino, and Sporting de Huelva with 4 points, 3 points, and 1 point, respectively.
