Barbora Krejcikova won the title of the WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with a prize pool of 2.788 million USD.
In the final, the Czech tennis player won by 2-0 (6:4, 6:2) against the leader in the world rankings and top-seeded Iga Swiatek. The 27-year-old Barbora Krejcikova, who is 30th in the WTA rankings, won her first title of the season and six in her career.
The 2021 Roland Garros French Open champion broke decisively for 5:4 in the first set, then served successfully to take the lead in the match.
In the second set, Iga Swiatek lost her serve twice, and Barbora Krejcikova ended the match at her first opportunity after 92 minutes on court.
Last week, three-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek triumphed with the title of the tournament in Doha.
Barbora Krejcikova achieved her second success in a total of four matches against the Polish tennis player.
