Awesome return of Dina Asher-Smith in women’s 4x100m relay at the Tokyo Olympics

Dina Asher-Smith, who failed to qualify for the final of the 100m at the Tokyo Olympics due to injury and withdrew from the 200m, made a comeback on the track in the Japanese capital. She ran third in the women’s 4x100m relay, which advanced to the final with a first result and a national record of 41.55 seconds. The other three sprinters in the quartet were Asha Philip, Imani Lansiquot, and Daryll Neita.

With the second time in the final, the US relay qualified – 41.90 seconds, and the third before the battle for the distribution of medals were the Germans with 42.00 seconds.

The other five teams that will run for medals in the 4x100m are Switzerland (42.05 seconds – national record), the favorites from Jamaica (42.15 seconds), France (42.68 seconds), the Netherlands (42.81 seconds) and China (42.82 seconds).

The final in the discipline is tomorrow.
