Ashleigh Barty won the title of at WTA 500 Adelaide International

The number one in women’s tennis, Ashleigh Barty, won the title at WTA 500 Adelaide International after a straight-set win versus Kazakhstani player Elena Ribakina. The Australian won by 6:3, 6:2 in just over an hour.

The first set started with both players winning their service games without any chance of a break. However, Ashleigh Barty made a break in the eighth game and lead by 5:3, which brought her victory by 6:3.

In the second set, the Australian was even more convincing, leading by 4-0, and calmly closed the match 6-2.

Ashleigh Barty won many more points in the first and second serve, as well as in her second return, which allowed her to win without tension.

Ashleigh Barty showed that she is in very good form before the start of the Australian Open, where she is among the favorites. She is ranked No. 1 in the world in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association. Ashleigh Barty has won fifteen singles titles and twelve doubles titles on the WTA Tour, including two Grand Slam singles titles, the 2019 French Open and 2021 Wimbledon Championships, and one Grand Slam doubles title at the 2018 US Open with partner CoCo Vandeweghe.
