ASC Sepsi-SIC lost at home to ASVEL Lyon Femeni and dropped from the Women’s EuroCup basketball tournament

ASC Sepsi-SIC lost at home to ASVEL Lyon Femeni by 83-87 (21-25, 24-22, 8-14, 30-26) in the rematch of the Round of 16 of the Women’s EuroCup basketball tournament. Thus the Romanian team was eliminated from the competition after losing the first match by 91-76.

Bethy Mununga was the most valuable player for ASC Sepsi-SIC, recording a double-double – 17 pts, 17 rebs, and 3 asts. Khadijiah Docia Andrea Cave added 14 pts and 4 rebs, for the Romanian team.

Marine Johannes of ASVEL Lyon Femeni was the most valuable player in the match with 21 pts, 4 rebs and 2 asts, while Gabby Williams added 18 pts, 3 rebs, and 5 asts and Laura Quevedo scored 15 pts, 7 rebs, and 3 asts.

In the other matches from the Women’s EuroCup basketball tournament, Elitzur Ramla defeated Gorzow by 85-64 and also qualified for the quarter-finals.

Galatasaray made another fantastic match to reach the quarter-finals after defeating Lattes Montpellier by 67-57, while Angers won the match versus Braine by 89-83 to also qualify for the next round.
