Aryna Sabalenka qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 Western & Southern Open

Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 Western & Southern Open tennis tournament in Cincinnati. In the quarter-finals, the 2nd-seeded Belarusian tennis player defeated Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) by 2-0 (7:5, 6:3) in an hour and 25 minutes of play.

For a place in the final, Aryna Sabalenka will face Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic), who eliminated her compatriot Marie Bouzkova after 3:0 and retiring due to injury.

The American tennis talent Cori Coco Gauff prevailed over Jasmine Paolini (Italy) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:2).

In the semi-finals, Cori Coco Gauff will face the top-seeded and world’s number one Iga Swiatek.

In the quarterfinals, the Polish tennis player defeated Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova by 2-0 (7:6, 6:1) in 1:33 hours of play.
