Aryna Sabalenka qualified for the quarter-finals of Wimbledon

The 2nd-seeded Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) qualified for the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon after eliminating Ekaterina Alexandrova (Russia) after 2-0 (6:4, 6:0) in 73 minutes. The Belarusian tennis player did not gave a single breakpoint to her opponent and making 19 winners, against only 8 for her opponent.

Aryna Sabalenka made only one break in the first set, but after winning it did not gave even a game to her opponent, closing the second set in only 27 minutes.

Thus, in the quarter-finals, Aryna Sabalenka will face Madison Keys (USA).

The reigning Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) also qualified for the quarter-finals after retiring of Beatriz Haddad Maia (Brazil) in the first set at 4:1. In the next round, she will face the 6th-seeded Ons Jabeur (Tunisia), who eliminated the 9th-seeded Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic) by 2-0 (6:0, 6:3).
