Arsenal WFC smashed Chelsea Women by 4-1 at their Emirates Stadium in London in a match of the ninth round of the England Women’s Super League. Lia Walti with one assist and Alessia Russo with 2 goals were the best players for the Gunner Ladies for the important victory.

The recently returned in play Bethany Mead opened the result for Arsenal WFC already in the 8th minute, but Johanna Rytting Kaneryd equalized 5 minutes later. West Ham United Women lost to Everton Women by 0-1 and the visitors Manchester United WFC smashed the hosts Tottenham Hotspur Women at their stadium by 4-0.

Earlier, Manchester City WFC turned over Aston Villa WFC by 2-1.

Leaders in the standings are Arsenal WFC and Chelsea Women with 22 points, while Manchester City WFC is third with 19 points. On the bottom are Aston Villa WFC, Bristol City WFC, and West Ham United Women with 6 points, 5 points, and 4 points, respectively.
