Arsenal WFC defeated Leicester City WFC by 1-0, keeping its chances for the title in England Women’s Super League. The only goal for the hosts was scored by Frida Leonhardsen-Maanum in the 63rd minute, which proved to be enough for the team to get the 3 points.

Arsenal WFC almost had the breakthrough early on, with Katie McCabe fouled by Hannah Cain just inside the box to concede a penalty. However, Katie McCabe missed the penalty, which was saved by the goalkeeper of Leicester City WFC. Stina Blackstenius and Victoria Pelova missed some chances in front of the target minutes later. Leicester City WFC were not without chances, but the Arsenal goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo saved all of them.

The second half started with pressure by the Gunners, who finally succeeded to open the result in the 63rd minute by Frida Leonhardsen-Maanum with the assistance of Jodie Taylor. Thus, the final score was 1-0 and Arsenal WFC kept its chances for the title in England Women’s Super League.

Arsenal WFC is in fourth place in the standings with 41 points (18 matches), just behind Chelsea Women with 43 points (17 matches), Manchester City WFC with 44 points (19 matches), and Manchester United WFC with 47 points (19 matches).

On the other hand, Leicester City WFC is 10h in the standings with 13 points.
