Elina Rodriguez is an Argentine volleyball player, who plays for the Brazilian elite club Fluminense and is part of the Argentina women’s national volleyball team. She competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and was awarded the Best outside hitter at the 2018 Pan American Cup. She is Champions League silver medalist, Italian Serie A1 winner, South American Championships silver medalist and Pan American Games bronze medalist.
Elina Maria Rodriguez was born on February 11, 1997, in Santa Fe, Argentina. She started in volleyball as a kid and played in the local volleyball club. Elina Rodríguez won the silver at the 2016 Pan-American Cup U23, bronze at the 2012 South American Championship U18 and silver at the 014 Final Four U20. At the 2013 World Championships U18 she was awarded the Best server.
Elina Rodriguez made her professional debut in 2014 for the club San Lorenzo to play in the Argentinian Liga A1. During the 4 season with the club, she gained experience and won the silver at the Argentinian Liga A1 in 2017/2018 and bronze in 2015/2016, as well as gold at the Superliga Metropolitana in 2015/2016, and Torneo Metropolitano Femenino de Voley in 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. During the year, she played for the Argentina women’s national volleyball team at the World Championships, Pan American Cup, Women World Grand Prix, and World Grand Prix.
In 2018, Elina Rodriguez moved to Brazil and signed with Volei Hinode Barueri, but after only a few month in the club moved to Italy to play for Imoco Volley Conegliano, winning the Italian Serie A1 and to finish second in the Champions League 2018/2019. She won also the Italian Supercup and was runner-up at the Italian Cup. With the national team of Argentina, she won the bronze at the FIVB Challenger Cup 2019 and also competed at the Pan American Games and FIVB World Cup.
Elina Rodriguez signed to the Italian Serie A2 club LPM BAM Mondovì in 2019, before moving to the French elite club Vandaeuvre Nancy Volley-Ball in 2020. With the second she played at the Challenge Cup 2020/2021, finishing 5th.
In 2021, she moved to another French volleyball club – Stade Francais Paris St Cloud. the club finished 10th in the French Ligue A and 5th in the French Cup.
Elina Rodriguez returned to South America in 2022 and signed with Brazilian volleyball club Fluminense. With them, she won the bronze at the Brazilian Cup 2022/2023 and silver at the Carioca Championship 2022/2023.
