Anna Hall broke the US national record in the pentathlon at a competition in Albuquerque. The 21-year-old athlete, who is a bronze medalist in the heptathlon at the World Championships in Eugene last year, won the event with 5,004 points. This is the second achievement in the all-time ranking of the discipline. The world record is held by Ukrainian athlete Nataliya Dobrynska, who scored 5,013 points for the indoor world title in Istanbul in 2012.
Anna Hall won all five events of the pentathlon. In the 60m hurdles, the American finished in 8.04 sec, in the high jump she recorded 1.91m, in the shot put 13.80m, in the long jump 6.34m and in the 800m she finished in 2:05:71 min.
Anna Hall is an American heptathlete. In 2022, she won the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to qualify for the home World Athletics Championships, where she claimed the bronze medal. Anna Hall is the North American indoor record holder for the pentathlon. She is a two-time 2022 champion representing the University of Florida.
She also won the gold at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships in San Jose.
