Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova won the title of the indoor tennis tournament WTA 250 Transylvania Open in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca with a prize fund of 251,750 USD. The 24-year-old Anna Blinkova beat Jasmine Paolini (Italy) in the final by 2-1 (6:2, 3:6, 6:2) in a match that lasted an hour and 16 minutes.
Anna Blinkova won the first set after two breaks against the serve of the Italian player. However, in the second set she faced strong resistance and Jasmine Paolini made three breaks against only two for the Russian player, which was enough to equalize the score.
The third decisive set was again for Anna Blinkova with two clear breaks and brought her the title of the WTA 250 Transylvania Open.
On her route to the title, Anna Blinkova defeated Anastasia Zakharova (Russia), Xinyu Wang (China), the 2nd-seeded Anhelina Kalinina (Ukraine) and the 4th-seeded Anastasia Potapova (Russia).
This is the second WTA title for the 24-years-old Russian player, but most prestigious after in 2019 she won WTA 125 Oracle Challenger Series.
