Anett Kontaveit defeated Tereza Martincova to qualify for the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Tallinn Open

The top-seeded Anett Kontaveit defeated Tereza Martincova by 2-0 (6:2, 6:1) and qualified for the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Tallinn Open. The match lasted a little more than an hour.

The first set started with breaks for both players after which Anett Kontaveit took an advantage of 2:1. After that, she won 3 more consecutive games and took a lead of 5:1. This was quite enough for her to close the set by 6:2.

The second set started in exactly the same way – breaks for both players after which Anett Kontaveit took an advantage of 2:1. After that she made two more breaks and gig not gave a single game to her opponent, closing the set by 6:1.

In the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Tallinn Open, Anett Kontaveit will face Ysaline Bonaventure, who defeated the 9th-seeded Jil Teichmann by 2-0 (7:6, 6:3).
