Amanda Nunes won the UFC Bantamweight title

Amanda Nunes is a double champion again after winning her fight versus Julianna Pena at the UFC 277 event, which took place in Dallas, Texas.

The battle between the two went to a unanimous decision in favor of Amanda Nunes (50–45, 50–44, 50–43). With this victory, The Brazilian MMA fighter regains the bantamweight title and is once again a double champion. She takes revenge on Julianna Pena, who strangled her at the end of 2021. The American fighter, however, breaks away with a streak of two consecutive victories.

Julianna Pena showed great heart and resilience, but eventually, that was not enough. Amanda Nunes recorded 3 takedowns in this bout, but they weren’t enough for him to win by submission.

Amanda Nunes is the current UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion and two-time UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. As of August 1, 2021, she is ranked No 1 in the UFC women’s pound-for-pound rankings. Her personal MMA record is 22-5-0 (W-L-D).

Julianna Pena competes in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where she is the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Her personal MMA record is 12-5-0 (W-L-D).
