Amanda Anisimova won her career second WTA title at Melbourne Summer Set II

The American tennis player Amanda Anisimova won over Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich by 2-1 (7:5, 1:6, 6:4) and won the title from the tennis tournament WTA 250 Melbourne Summer Set II with a prize fund of 240,000 USD.

The match between the two players lasted 2:08 hours. In the first set, the match was equal to 5:5 with one break exchanged between both, when Amanda Anisimova made another break in the decisive 12th game to prevent a tiebreak.

In the second set, Aliaksandra Sasnovich was very convincing and played confidently. She took a lead of 4:0 after two breaks and closed it in half an hour with 6:1.

Amanda Anisimova, who is the world’s No 78 in the WTA rankings, again managed to make 2 breaks against 1 in the decisive third set and secure a valuable victory.

Thus, Amanda Anisimova won the second WTA title. She is the third-youngest player ranked in the top 100 by the Women’s Tennis Association. Amanda Anisimova won her first WTA title at the Copa Colsanitas in April 2019 at the age of 17.
