A scandal broke out in the women’s volleyball Champions League. The team of Dynamo (Moscow) had to visit the Czech Dukla Liberec today in a match from the 5th round of the group stage, but the match will not take place. The Russian volleyball team will be awarded a technical loss of 0:3 (0:25, 0:25, 0:25).
It came after the Czech embassy in Moscow refused to issue visas to 5 of Dynamo’s coaches – coach Dmitry Dyakov, statistician Sergey Zhitov, coach Stanislav Dineykin, as well as the team’s doctor and masseur.
Thus, Dynamo could leave for the Czech Republic only with its head coach Konstantin Ushakov.
Dynamo decided that they do not want to fly to the Czech Republic and the match was canceled.
This technical loss could be fatal for the volleyball team of Dynamo (Moscow), who may not qualify for the next phase of the Champions League.
