The British tennis player Heather Watson qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA 250 Rothesay Open Nottingham after defeating Viktorija Golubic (Switzerland) by 2-0 (7:6, 7:5) in 2:19 hours of play.
The first set started with an early break for Heather Watson, who took a lead by 3:0. She was serving for the set, but her opponent succeeded to return the break and equalized the games to 5:5. Thus, the set entered into a tie break, which finally the British player won by 7-2.
In the second set was running equal without break until the very end, when Heather Watson succeeded to break her opponent once again and closed the match.
In the semi-finals she will face her compatriot Katie Boulter, who eliminated Harriet Dart by 2-0 (6:3, 7:5).
Jodie Burrage (UK) also qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament after defeated Magdalena Frech (Poland) by 2-1 (6:2, 3:6, 7:5) and will face Alize Cornet 9france), who eliminated Elizabeth Mandlik (USA) by 2-1 (6:3, 4:6, 6:3).
