The top-seeded Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova stopped the impetus of the young Swiss talent Celine Naef and defeated her at the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Libema Open in The Netherlands. The Russian player won the match by 2-0 (6:3, 6:2) in 76 minutes.
Veronika Kudermetova took a lead in the beginning of the first set, which proved to be enough for her to win it by 6:3. In the second set, she broke the Swiss tennis talent twice to close the match.
In the semi-finals, the top-seeded Russian player will face Viktoria Hruncakova (Slovakia), who eliminated Ashlyn Krueger (USA) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4).
The 4th-seeded and reigning champion Ekaterina Alexandrova (Russia) also advanced ahead after defeating Emina Bektas (USA) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) and will face Aliaksandra Sasnovich (Belarus), who eliminated Liudmila Samsonova (Russia) after her opponent retired in the 2nd set.
