Another British player, Katie Boulter, also qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament after defeating Daria Snigur (Ukraine) by 2-0 (7:5, 6:3).
The American tennis player Elizabeth Mandlik also advanced in the tournament after winning her match versus the 7th-seeded Camila Giorgi (Italy) by 2-1 (7:5, 5:7, 6:3). In the quarter-finals, she will face Alize Cornet (France), who eliminated the top-seeded Maria Sakkari (Greece) by 2-0 (6:1, 6:4).
