The European 60m hurdles champion Reetta Hurske broke Finland’s 100m hurdles national record. She won the Jyvaskyla Motonet GP yesterday with a time of 12.70 sec.
After setting the record already in the heats, she did not give her best at the final but finally won with 12.81 sec.
‘It went really well today too”, said Reetta Hurske. “A good run from the start to 60m, but then I had to stagger a bit when fences started to come into my lap. The intermediate steps had to be taken in a slightly different way. The feeling was good and I am very satisfied with my first run. The second one wasn’t quite as forward, but I’m quite satisfied with the win. You had to run hard even in the final”, added she.
Reetta Hurske won the gold at the Jyvaskyla Motonet GP 100m hurdles, while the silver went to Jyothi Yarraji with 12.95 sec, while Nooralotta Neziri earned the bronze with 13.17 sec.
Lotta Kemppinen won the competition’s 100m sprint with 11.43 sec, followed by Aino Pulkkinen and Jura Levy.
In women’s 400m, Mette Baas earned the gold, while Aino Pulkkinen and Milja Thureson, won silver and bronze, respectively.
Jessica Kahara won the gold in the long jump, Buse Savaskan earned the gold in the high jump, while Wilma Nielsen was fastest on 400m.
