The top-seeded and world’s tennis number one Iga Swiatek (Poland) made s strong start at the French Open / Roland Garros after defeating Cristina Bucsa (Spain) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:0) in 1:15 hours and qualified for the second round of the Grand Slam tournament.
The Polish player scored 18 winners to win the match peremptory. The first set started equally as both players won their serve games and exchange two breaks for each. At 3:3, Iga Swiatek won her serve game on 15, but Cristina Bucsa equalized with the same result in the next game. The Spanish player even received a breakpoint in the 9th game, but Iga Swiatek saved it and won her serve. In the 10th game of the set, the Polish player received a breakpoint but did not miss it and closed the set at 6:4.
