The 100m hurdles Tokyo 2020 Olympic Champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn achieved one of the fastest times in discipline in all conditions. The Puerto Rican athlete won the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix in Devonshire with 12.17 sec (3.5 m/s). Only the world record holder Tobi Amusan (Nigeria) has run faster than the world record of 12.12 sec and had finished in 12.06 sec with a stronger than permitted tailwind.
Jamaica’s 2015 world gold medalist Danielle Williams didn’t get the best start but still won the battle for the runner-up spot, running 12.38 sec to Tonea Marshall’s 12.39 sec.
Tara Davis-Woodhall achieved an impressive result in the long jump, but it was also with a strong tailwind – 7.11m (2.1 m/s). Her American compatriot Quanesha Burks finished second with 7.04m (2.9 m/s), and Ruth Usoro (Nigeria) finished third with a personal record of 6.82m (1.2 m/s).
In the 100m Tamari Davis won the gold with a result of 10.91 sec (2.0 m/sec).
