Reigning Diamond League champion and 100m hurdles world record holder Tobi Amusan (Nigeria) will renew her rivalry with Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn (Puerto Rico) at the Diamond League in Silesia, Poland, on July 16.
Tobi Amusan has won the diamond trophy in the last two seasons, and at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Eugene she took the title, achieving a world record time of 12.12 sec in the semi-finals.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn was the most consistent winner in the Diamond League in 2022 with six wins from nine contests, including success over Tobi Amusan. The Puerto Rican improved the record of the “Kamila Skolimowska” memorial tournament in Silesia last year with 12.34 sec.
“This is the perfect place to run fast. If you’re in form, it’s a great location for a personal best”, said Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

In 2021, she became the first Nigerian athlete to win a Diamond League title as she took the 100 m hurdles trophy, breaking the then-African record held by Glory Alozie in the process. She retained her title in 2022.
