Dutch 400m hurdles star and Diamond League winner for the past two years Femke Bol will return to Florence for the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea on June 2.
The 2021 and 2022 400m hurdles winner has 11 first-place finishes in her 15 Diamond League starts over the past two years.
In 2021, she won in Florence, and now she will once again have the opportunity to start in the Italian city. Two years ago, she prevailed with 53.44 sec, and now she holds the European record in the discipline with 52.08 sec.
Femke Bol, who had a remarkable winter season in which she broke the indoor 400m world record and became the European 400m and 4x400m champion in Istanbul, will also compete at the Atletisima tournament in Lausanne on June 30.
