German tennis player Tatjana Maria will defend her titles from the WTA 250 Copa Colsanitas versus Peyton Stearns (USA). Both tennis players will face today at the main court of the Club Campestre El Rancho in Bogota, Colombia.
Tatjana Maria reached the final after defeating Francesca Jones (UK) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:4) in 1:37 hours.
The German tennis player started strongly the match with two breaks and took a lead of 4:0, which proved to be enough for her to close the set at 6:3. The second set run equally with an exchange of a break in the beginning but Tatjana Maria succeeded to take a lead in the 9th game and closed the set at 6:4.
Peyton Stearns has a quite harder match in the semi-finals, as she needed more than two hours to prevail over Kamilla Rakhimova (Russia) by 2-1 (3:6, 6:2, 6:2).
Tatjana Maria is the reigning champion of WTA 250 Copa Colsanitas. She has two career titles and currently is the world’s No 66. Her opponent is playing her first WTA final.
