British 10,000m record holder Eilish McColgan will have a final test ahead of her London marathon debut on April 23. She will start at the half marathon in Berlin on April 2.
Eilish McColgan broke Paula Radcliffe’s long-standing 10,000m record after running 30:00.86 min in California in early March.
After the camp in the USA, she returns to Europe, where she will face Ethiopian athlete Tsigie Gebreselama and Kenyan long-distance runner Ludwina Chepngetich in Berlin.
Eilish McColgan also holds the British record in the half marathon with 66:26 min.
Eilish McColgan is a Scottish middle- and long-distance runner. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games 10,000m champion with the Games record and a 5,000m silver medallist. Eilish McColgan is a four-time European Championships medallist, winning silver medals for the 5,000m in 2018 and 10,000m in 2022, bronze in the 5,000m in 2022, and a bronze for the indoor 3,000m in 2017. She is the European record holder for the 10 km road race, and the British record holder for the 5,000m, 10,000m, 5km, and half marathon. She also holds the European best in the 10 miles on the roads.
