The 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu (Canada) recorded another victory at the WTA 1000 Miami Open after defeating Sofia Kenin (USA) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) and will play in the fourth round of the competition.

Bianca Andreescu, who is the world’s No 31, started the match with a break in the fourth game of the first set. She was strong on her serve and did not allow any breakpoint to her opponent and thus closed the set at 6:4.

The second set started even stronger for the Canadian player, who broke her opponent twice and took a lead of 4:1, but Sofia Kenin succeeded to return one of the breaks immediately. However, as in the previous set, Bianca Andreescu did not give a single breakpoint to her opponent and closed the set again at 6:4.

In the Round of 16, Bianca Andreescu will face 18th-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova (Russia) who defeated Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Belinda Bencic (Switzerland) by 2-0 (7:6, 6:3).
