The reigning champion Olympique Lyonnais Feminin lost at home to the visitors of Chelsea F.C. Women in the first leg quarter-final match of the Women’s Champions League.
Chelsea midfielder Guro Reiten scored the only goal in the match in the 34th minute after the assistance of Erin Cuthbert. However, the match was quite equal, while Olympique Lyonnais Feminin had slightly higher ball procession and goal attempts. Chelsea F.C. Women, on the other hand, were more accurate in shots on target.
In the other quarter-final match of the day, Wolfsburg Women took a surprising victory as a visitor of Paris Saint-Germain Feminine by 1-0. The only goal in the match came in the 62nd minute by Dominique Janssen, who was accurate from a penalty.
