The US women’s volleyball team qualified for the finals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after in the semifinal match today they defeated the Rio 2016 runners-up of Serbia with 3-0 (25:19, 25: 15, 25:23). The US women’s volleyball team is the winner of the League of Nations from 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Karch Kiraly’s girls completely dominated the first and second games. In the third, the “blues” played completely equally, but at the end the Americans managed to impose their advantage and reach a clear victory with 3-0.
The Americans were better in attack (40-32), blockade (12-8), and service (6-0), which brought success to the United States.
In the final, the United States will meet the winner of the second semifinal Brazil vs the Republic of Korea. Serbia will play in the small final in a dispute for the bronze medals against the lost semifinal №2.
The final match will be played on August 8.
