European 100m hurdles champion Pia Skrzyszowska continues with her steady performances in the 60m hurdles indoor. The 21-year-old Polish athlete, who leads the world rankings for the season with 7.78 sec, triumphed at the home tournament ORLEN Copernicus Cup in Torun with 7.79 sec. The achievement is a new tournament record.
This time, however, Pia Skrzyszowska had much more serious competition than in the previous races. Finland’s athlete Reetta Hurske finished second with a personal best of 7.81 sec and Jamaica’s Britany Anderson was third with 7.83 sec.
European champion of 60m hurdles from the last two forums in Glasgow 2019 and Torun 2021 Nadine Visser (Netherlands) finished fourth with 7.85 sec, while the 100m hurdles bronze medalist at the European Championships in Munich last summer, Ditaji Kambundji, was fifth with 7.94s.
