European 60m and 100m hurdles champion Pia Skrzyszowska continues her excellent performance on the track. The 21-year-old Polish athlete won first place in the 60m hurdles at the international ISTAF tournament in Dusseldorf with a personal best of 7.84 sec. In the series she runs at 7.86 sec.
There was a Polish double in the hurdles as her compatriot Jakub Szymanski won the men’s race in 7.62 sec.
“Actually, I was motivated because Yakub won his steeplechase. I saw it before my run and thought ‘let’s do a Polish double’. I hope to go below 7.80 seconds in my next race”, shared the happy Polish athlete Pia Skrzyszowska after the victory..
Olympic and two-time long jump champion Malaika Mihambo won the competition in her crowning event long jump after landing 6.83m in her final attempt to move into second place in the world rankings for the season.
