The Swiss snowboarder Julie Zogg won also the second parallel slalom of the Snowboard World Cup in the Bulgarian resort of Bansko, with which she defended her first place in the general classification.
After defeating the Austrian Sabine Schoffmann in the final yesterday, today Julie Zogg faced her compatriot Daniela Ulbing. Daniela Ulbing led for the longer distance, but a mistake at the end gave Julie Zogg the victory by 1.26 sec.
It was the 12th World Cup victory of the Swiss woman’s career and the 11th in the parallel slalom. She leads the general standings by 19 points ahead of Daniela Ulbing, who slipped to second yesterday. Third is Saturday’s finalist Sabine Schoffmann, who delays by 71 points.
“It’s great that I won twice. Today it looked like it was over early, but Daniela went down and in the end the victory is for me”, said Julie Zogg after the race.
The third place in Bansko went to the Swiss Patrizia Kummer, who defeated the Japanese Tsubaki Miki in the small final.
