Ukrainian high jump athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh will return to Banska Bystrica for the special high jump tournament on February 14. The 21-year-old athlete has competed there for the past four years, winning in 2020 and 2021.
Two years ago, Yaroslava Mahuchikh jumped 2.06m, and with this result, she tied for third place in the all-time indoor world ranking.
The Ukrainian tops the world rankings for the season with 2.00m from Lviv earlier in the week. There she also attempted 2.03m and came very close to success, but ultimately failed to clear that height in her first competition of the season.
Yaroslava Mahuchikh is a Ukrainian high jumper. She was the 2020 Summer Olympics bronze medalist, 2019 and 2022 World Championships silver medalist, and 2022 World Indoor Championships gold medalist. At the 2022 Brussels Diamond League, Mahuchikh jumped 2.05 m, which is her outdoor personal best and a Ukrainian record. In 2021, she achieved her indoor personal best of 2.06 m, which is also a national record.
