Luisa Bertani won the women’s giant slalom at the Italian winter center Kronplatz on the FIS calendar.
Luisa Bertani, 26, was tied for the best time with Elisa Platino (Italy) in the first run, but after a steady ride in the second run, she took first place with a total time of 2:29.69 min. Elisa Platino remained second, three hundredths of a second behind, and Finland’s Erika Pykalainen completed the top three, 0.63 seconds behind the winner.
Luisa Bertani won the Kronplatz giant slalom for the second time in recent days, having triumphed on the same track at the end of December in the Albanian Open.
Luisa Bertani is an Italian-born Alpine skier, who competes for Bulgaria. Luisa Bertani’s first FIS start was on November 27, 2011 in Sulden (Italy). Made her World Cup debut on October 28, 2017, in the giant slalom in Soelden (Austria). She has 13 appearances for FIS, with her best ranking being 24th in the giant slalom in Kranska Gora (Slovenia) in 2020. She made her European Cup debut on December 15, 2016 in Andalo (Italy). Third place in the 2020 giant slalom in Krvavec (Slovenia) is her best finish in 50 FIS starts.
