Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova qualified for the doubles final of the WTA Finals Fort Worth after defeating Lyudmyla Kichenok/Jelena Ostapenko by 2-0 (7:6, 6:2).
The Czech team started the match perfectly, taking a comfortable lead of 5:2 in the first set and serving for winning it. However, Lyudmyla Kichenok/Jelena Ostapenko returned to the match after two breaks and turned the set into a tiebreak. Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova had a hard time in the tiebreak but eventually succeeded to win it and take a comfortable lead by 1-0.
In the second set, the Czech players won a break in the beginning and were ahead by 3:0. They maintained the lead by the 8th game, when broke again the serve of Lyudmyla Kichenok/Jelena Ostapenko and closed the set by 6:2.
Thus, the top-seeded Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova will play on the final to defend their title from the last year.
