British athlete Holly Archer finally won the third medal for Great Britain at the European Indoor Championships, finishing second in the 1500 meters. Initially, the Cambridge & Coleridge athlete was judged to have illegally maneuvered into position during the final and was disqualified, but the decision had been was changed upon appeal.
There were several episodes of pushing and shoving and, after a review of the footage, it was determined Holly Archer was at fault. However, she appealed and the decision had been changed.
Another two medals for Great Britain at the European Indoor Championships were won by Jodie Williams, who set a personal best of 51.73 seconds to win 400m bronze, and Holly Bradshaw, winning bronze but underperformed in the pole vault and only managing to clear 4.65m in the final.
Meanwhile, Britain will have three women in the final of the 800m after the young trio of Keely Hodgkinson, Isabelle Boffey and Ellie Baker all finished in the top two in their respective semi-finals.
