The top-seeded Maria Sakkari continue her good performance at the WTA 250 Parma Ladies Open and qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Maryna Zanevska by 2-1 (2:6, 6:4, 6:4). The match lasted 2:22 hours and offered a lot of emotions for the fans.
The first set was under the total dominance of the Belgian tennis player Maryna Zanevska, who broke the serve of Maria Sakkari three times.
The Greek player overturned the match in the second set after taking a lead of 5:2 with two breaks. In the Romanian battle of the day, the 6th-seeded Ana Bogdan defeated the 3rd-seeded Irina-Camelia Begu by 2-0 (6:2, 7:6) and qualified for the semi-finals, where will face Mayar Sherif.
