Tokyo 2020 Olympic discus throw champion Valarie Allman recorded one of the most impressive achievements at the ISTAF international athletics tournament in Berlin yesterday. The American won with a result of 70.06m.
European and Olympic silver medalist Kristin Pudenz (Germany) took second place with 65.20m, and her compatriot Shanice Craft was third with 64.36m. The 36-year-old Nadine Mueller achieved 55.73m and ended her international career, in which she has silver and bronze medals from world championships for 20 years.
“After the World Championships there was this bitter feeling with my bronze medal. I’m excited to have this chance to show that I can throw better, and 70 meters in the discus is a big barrier”, said Valarie Allman after her victory.
