Silvana Gomez Juarez is an Argentinian mixed martial artist who competes in the Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Her personal MMA record is 11-4-0 (W-L-D).
Silvana Gomez Juarez was born on December 6, 1984, in San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina. She started training kung fu at the age of five, continuing with kickboxing and various other disciplines.
Silvana Gomez Juarez made her professional MMA debut on March 7, 2010, at Real Fights 7 – Apocalypse Night versus Ana Mancinelli. She won via TKO in the first round.
In 2012, Silvana Gomez Juarez fought versus Angelica Lobos at ULLAM – Hombres de Honor 43. She won the bout via TKO in the first round.
On December 13, 2013, she had her third professional fight versus Susana Diaz at KOCP – Knock Out Club 12 and won via KO in the first round.
After the impressive start of her professional career, Silvana Gomez Juarez signed with Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFCI). She debuted for the promoter on February 8, 2014, versus Bianca Daimoni at XFC International 1 and won via armbar submission in the third round. She registered two more wins in 2014 – versus Mayerlin Rivas at XFC International 5 via armbar submission in the third round and versus Vanessa Melo at XFC International 8 via unanimous decision.
On September 19, 2015, Silvana Gomez Juarez fought against Poliana Botelho at XFC International 11. here she suffered her first loss in the professional MMA. She lost the first via TKO in Round 4.
On March 17, 2017, Silvana Gomez Juarez faced Maria Vega at IF – Invictus Fighters 16, winning the fight via TKO in Round 1
A year later, she suffered her second loss by Ariane Lipski at the KSW 42 – Khalidov vs. Narkun via unanimous decision.
On September 27, 2019, Silvana Gomez Juarez returned on the winning path at the fight versus Saray Orozco Rodriguez at Combate Americas – Guadalajara: Gutierrez vs. Gibson. She won the bout via unanimous decision.
On November 20, 2020, she registered another win versus Diana Reyes at the Lux Fight League – Lux 011. She took the victory via TKO in Round 1.
On February 26, 2021, she won the fight versus Gilsely Perea at UWC Mexico 25 – Quinonez vs. Matos via TKO in Round 2.
After racking three straight wins in the regional circuit, Silvana Gomez Juarez was booked to compete again at Dana White’s Contender Series 43 against Maria Silva on October 12, 2021. However she, as a replacement for Sam Hughes, made her UFC debut against Lupita Godinez on October 8, 2021, at UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Rodriguez
On January 22, 2022, Silvana Gomez Juarez faced Vanessa Demopoulos at UFC 270 – Ngannou vs. Gane. Unfortunately, she registered another loss via armbar submission in the first round.
On June 12, 2022, Silvana Gomez Juarez finally achieved her first win at the UFC versus Na Liang at UFC 275 – Teixeira vs. Prochazka. She won the fight via KO in the first round.
