The women’s football teams of Pachuca and Guadalajara Chivas recorded wins in the 13th round of the Mexican Liga MX Femenil. Thus, both teams stay in the battle for the Top 3.
Pachuca took a home win versus Mazatlan FC with 5-0. Veronica Charlyn Corral Ang opened the score in the 9th minute from a penalty. The first half ended 1-0. However, the second half was under the total domination of Pachuca, whose players doubled the score in the 51st minute after the own goal of Silvia Lopez. Monica Ocampo scored twice in the 55th and 59th minute, while Natalia Ines Gomez Junco Esteva formed the final score of 5-0 in the 85th minute.
Pachuca is 4th in the standings of the Mexican Liga MX Femenil with 28 points, while Mazatlan FC is 16th with 10 points.
Guadalajara Chivas had a more complicated match as a visitor of Club Leon. However, Alicia Cervantes opened the score for Guadalajara Chivas in the 15th minute. In the second half, Joselina Montoya scored the second goal and formed the final score of 2-0.
Guadalajara Chivas is 3rd in the standings with 30 points, while Club Leon is 12th with 12 points.
In other matches of the round, Toluca won by 3-0 versus Queretaro, while Club Tijuana and Necaxa ended the match with a draw of 1-1.
Leader in the standings is Monterrey with 33 points, while second is U.A.N.L.- Tigres.
