The ONE Atomweight champion Angela Lee defended her title in a fight versus Stamp Fairtex via rear-naked choke submission in the second round.
Angela Lee returned from a two-and-a-half-year layoff due to pregnancy and motherhood and then overcame adversity in the ONE X: Grand Finale main event. She survived the subsequent barrage of punches and kicks in the first round, being seriously hurt. But finally, in the second round, she unloaded a few punches to ease her way into a rear-naked choke. With just 10 seconds left, Lee induced her foe’s surrender, delivered her first finish since October 2019, and retained her spot as the divisional queen.
It was a remarkable win for Angela Lee, who halted Stamp Fairtex’s incredible MMA rise and prevented the former ONE Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion from becoming a three-sport queen.
Angela Lee has a personal MMA record of 11-2-0 (W-L-D). Before this weekend’s fight, she last faced Jingnan Xiong in October 2019, winning via rear-naked choke submission in the fifth round.
