The bronze medalist from Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the pole vault, Holly Bradshaw, will open her “diamond” campaign for 2022 in Birmingham on May 21. The 2013 European Indoor Champion set a new British outdoor record in June 2021 of 4.90 m and improved her own 9-year 4.87 m record.
“After a successful and consistent campaign in 2021, I was extremely disappointed to miss the indoor tournaments, but with three major championships this summer, my priority was to rest, recover and focus my energy on returning to full health”, said Holly Bradshaw. “It took a while, but I finally feel myself again and I’m excited about the coming year. Having competed in front of few or no spectators throughout the pandemic, I can’t wait to find my season in Birmingham. I have enjoyed some fantastic performances at this stadium over the years and I hope to continue where I left off in Tokyo and give the audience something to shout about”, added she.
