One week after her 60m victory in the Swiss Championship with 7.05 sec, Mujinga Kambundji recorded another success with a strong result. She won the Silver Label World Athletics Tournament in Paris last night with 7.06 sec. This is only 0.03 sec slower than her personal best and the record of Switzerland, which she shares with the European champion in the hall Ajla Del Ponte.

The Kambundji family had a strong evening in Paris, after Mujing’s younger sister, Ditaji Kambundji, ran close to a Swiss record. The 19-year-old hurdler, European 100m hurdles champion for girls under 20, finished third in the 60m hurdles with 7.94 sec, just 0.01 sec slower than her Swiss record. She was overtaken by the French Cyrena Samba-Mayela (7.92 sec) and the Finnish Reetta Hurske (7.93 sec).
Patricia Mamona won the women’s triple jump with 14.15 m.
