Two years passed since Joanna Jedrzejczyk last competed in the UFC, but even though she hasn’t fought, it doesn’t mean she has a lot of free time.
The former champion trains every day in Poland and has many advertising deals, TV appearances, and many other lucrative engagements.
However, Joanna Jedrzejczyk still wants to fight as much as when she signed for the UFC in 2014. The difference is that she already knows how much it costs outside the Octagon.
“I’m quite busy”, said Joanna Jedrzejczyk. “Now is a little time for me. This is a time for me as a person, as a businesswoman, and as an athlete. I train hard. I was very, very busy. I traveled every day, I trained every day, but training is my priority. I want to make sure that everything is going in the right direction. When I was just fighting, my career was at its peak because I was the only one who focused on it. But I have so many other things I want to do. I have so many hobbies, interesting things, and businesses. I want to make sure that everything is going in the right direction. Now everything is fine and I am calm and I can focus entirely on training”, added she.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk is currently in Florida training with the American Top Team and is looking forward to returning to the UFC. She maintains good relations with the organization but admits that she has achieved much more financial success outside of it.
“I make more money outside the Octagon. But I owe it all to what I’ve achieved in MMA. I’ve been competing for 18 years, but my life changed when I joined the UFC and became a champion. Then many more opportunities opened up for me. I make money and now I do the things I love. I know I’ve achieved a lot in this sport. I haven’t done it for money, but I know I can ask for more money because I know I deserve it. I know how much it costs”, added she.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk has a personal MMA record of 16-4-0 (W-L-D).
