The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has decided to hold the draw for the Women’s World Cup at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, and to postpone it by at least a week.
The decision to move the draw, which was to take place today (February 28th) in the Polish capital Warsaw, was taken in full cooperation with the co-hosts from Poland and the Netherlands and is on the background of the current situation in Ukraine. The new date of the draw will be announced in due course.
The draw will be conducted online and will be verified by an independent auditor, and all participating teams will be able to watch it live. The results of the draw will then be published on the FIVB website.
The FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup will be held between September 23 and October 15 in the Netherlands and Poland.
